It's my turn again to host the Art by miran showcase blog

As I've already created and showed my fall colours project, I choose to make a halloween card.
Here in the Netherlands we do not realy celebrate halloween, which is a shame, as I LOVE halloween

I have used Midnight Ride for my project

I've created an easel card and kept it pretty simple.
As the image was a bit to wide for the easel card, I have removed the right part of the image.

MATERIALS:

Cardstock purple & black, cutfiles, colour pencils, foam tape, silhouette cut files, Faber Castell & van Gogh colour pencils

She is coloured with pencils and the base layer of the broom is done with a flex marker

Scribble and Scrap Challenge #30

A new challenge launched today over at Scribble & Scrap

Theme as always Anything Goes, so there's no excuse to not participate.

Last week I made a card, so this week it was time for something 3d again.

After the lantern from 2 weeks ago, I figured, I could do something with a wooden tealight holder.

Don't worrie, it has glass on the inside. besides, I'm using a fake tealight:P

So here is my make

MATERIALS:

wooden tealight holder (action) , Sweet Pea Stamps Will-O and the Wisps, colouring pencils, Creative Expressions Gilding Wax Golden Light/Enchanted Gold/Patina, acrylic thingie for her forehead

As you can see on the photo's, I have used the Creative Expressions Gilding Wax again.

So after sniffen for 5 minutes, I rubbed the edges and corners with Golden Light.

Step 2, Enchanted Gold &

Step 3, Patina to give it a bit more weathered look

Im realy happy with how it turned out

Scribble and Scrap Challenge #29 Reminder

Can't beliveve already a week has gone by.

It's time for the challenge reminder at Scribble & Scrap

For my project I've used the following shop supplies:
Santoro Gorjuss 'You Brought Me Love'
Santoro Gorjuss - Simply Gorjuss 6x6 paper pack
The Hobby House 5mm Self Adhesive Pearls - Snow White

OTHER MATERIALS:

Cardstock dark blue & green, brads, flower dies, Santoro Gorjuss notes, faber castell/van goghs/caran d'ache pencils.

For the shape of the card I used a file from Miss Kates Cuttables,

I have used Sweet Sonia for my project

I've made a little lantern out of an empty glas jar.

I'm not so good with fall colours, always in doubt which colours to use.

So I hope the colours on my project will do.

MATERIALS:

Empty glass jar, aluminium foil, lace, wool, flowers, ribbon, leaves, pencils, stars punch(hema)

For the inside I took aluminium foil and the stars punch.

You can understand its not smart to place a real candle in there, but 1 of those fake candles would do the trick.

My first Scribble & Scrap post

I've been asked to join the Scribble & Scrap team by Lexie and anyone who knows Lexie, knows how verry persistent she can be :P

Although, to be honost, it's not like I had a hard time to choose. 

So........ YES ofc I joined

And for my first project I used a Sweet Pea stamp

I've made a Halloween lantern

  

MATERIALS:

Black cardstock, 3d boo pumpkin lantern cut file, Sweet Pea - Miss Witch rubber stamp, Creative Expressions Gilding wax / Golden Light/Enchanted Gold/Patina, 

After puttin the lantern together I took my Gilding waxes.

First I went over the edges with Enchanted Gold.
After that I took the Golden Light, to get a bit of colour difference here and there.

Last part was using Patina and slightly go over the edges to give it a bit of a "weathered/worked" look.

As you can see I'm still in a learning curve how to use these waxes best, but I LOVE them.

And...... (some may think its weird)  but I love the smell, when I open a jar, first thing I do is just smell it :P
